Ministires Children's Ministry
Monte de Santidad was birthed because of the children. They came looking for love. It was through the children who brought their parents that the church started. It wasn't intended that way, but it automatically migrated in that direction.
The heart of Monte De Santidad is the children, their needs and everything that involves them. God has given the mountain to them. God said that their generation will conquer the mountain for Christ and it is our job to prepare the way for them, to train them for the kingdom of God and provide them with the tools they will need to do complete God’s call for them.
These, are also one of the most vulnerable, we have found they have been suffering emotionally, physically and spiritually. We have seen violence, vices, and abuses verbally and physically, dysfunctional families, starvation, poor education opportunities and some never got a single opportunity.
At the Sunday School we have more than 100 children that give us the opportunity to watch them, minister them and serve them in the best way possible according to our limited possibilities. The team of Sunday School Teachers does their best to show them the love of Jesus and teach them about God’s will for them.
After 5 years of prayers God answered us. God brought to this place Ken Hayes who got the call and the vision from God to create a way to provide help and hope for the children of mountain and Monte De Santidad. Give2GiveHope started on June, 2009 and it is to provide food, clothe, health care and education to our children.
Now the hope is great because currently more than 280 children are enrolled in the program and waiting to receive their hope. G2GH has opened a great window for the world to see the need of the little ones here and a great opportunity to those that are looking a chance to help others and doesn’t know how. | Youth Ministry
Sapadril has a huge problem with alcohol, marihuana, crack and cocaine. It is so sad that the population most affected is our youth, teenagers and even children that have tried marihuana since nine years old. Different churches from Michigan, Canada and Honduras have joined us trying to create a window of opportunity for the young ones through the soccer sport. In our culture, soccer is the most popular sport.
God has given us the wisdom to use this as an attraction for our youth and the purpose is to rescue them from addictions. Many efforts have been done to get uniforms for the boys and right now a young teenager in USA has started "Soccer Dreams for Honduras” that is hoping to get soccer supplies for the girls team.
Our youth group is around 30 teenagers that are really trying to change their lives following Jesus. While they learn about Jesus through a Bible study, they also can enjoy the soccer sport. What we do is that we get challenges for them with other soccer teams, some are Christians teams and some are not which give us a very good opportunity to show them how this small group of teenagers have found a good and healthy way to have fun at the same time that their lives are being transformed by the word of God. |
| Women's Ministry
During years our women were relegated to the home chores only. Many did have the chance to get education, even basic school. God has been moving powerfully through the women and after the children, God is using the women to spread His word and His precious promises.
Women have been very good messengers of God, passing on the voice that can transform and restore families, that God can save our children and also that women also can learn new skills! Our women are awesome, hard workers, women that never give up, women that face poverty, adversity and difficulty every, but have still joy and strong faith! Now they are growing in their faith they are also growing taking every single opportunity to learn and work.
God has opened a door from them to get some income for their families. They have been taught to make jewelry, embroidery and some other crafts that are creating enthusiasm and hope to our women. The make crafts and volunteers from USA and Canada are helping to sell these to get some money for our women and their families. |
| Health Ministry
The need for health care assistance is huge in this area. The nearest hospital it about 7 km and it is necessary to take two busses by very bad roads, which make it extra hard and delayed to get there with an emergency situation. In time it takes like an hour to arrive to the hospital by bus. The bad roads are not the worst, but it is the fact that the hospital runs out of enough medicines. The line to get an appointment are never ending and cause that a person needs to spend the daytime there; many can’t afford to buy a meal because if they afford the transportation then they can’t afford other expenses.
Many take the effort, but the frustration and deception comes on them when all they get after all the sacrifices are just "Medicine Prescriptions” to go and buy the medicine at a drugstore. This has made people so disappointed that they decided to stay at home when get which make them get worse, and worse and some had died.
God set a burden in our hearts during years for our people and God said that here He would build a medical Clinic. Since 2007 we have done many efforts and with God’s help we have been able to bring medical teams at least once a year to the mountain. In Feb. 2009 we met Dr. Jonathan Dennis and his wife Tracey Dennis. Moved by the need, their love for Jesus and for our people they asked God to lead them and help them to build a clinic here. As soon as they got back to Michigan God started giving them answers and providing a team of strong Christians, professional and equipped to help making this new challenge become true!
On Feb. 2010 we meet Arch .Dean DeKryger who already designed the clinic and made the floor plans. God’s willing, on Feb. 2011 we will start building the Medical Clinic that will serve to provide Health Care assistance to Sapadril Abajo (our community), Sapadril Arriba, Lempira, La Union 1, La Union 2, La Tekera, Santa Lucia, San Juan Sapadril, Las Brisas, and probably few more communities.
If you join us to make this dream to become true, you will be blessing many people and even saving many lives. Why you don’t join us now? We need you, we urge your help, since the path will be long raising funds, bringing construction crews. We are sure that you can be part of the exciting work that God is doing in Sapadril and Monte De Santidad. You can contact us in USA:

| Evangelism
Through Community Health Evangelism program we have been able to take the good news of Salvation to the 50% of the families in our village. In a 40% to Sapadril Arriba, 20% in Lempira as well in 20% in La Union 1. Monte De Santidad also has done different activities to share with others about Jesus and every year our Church in Michigan, Charisma Life Church comes to support the church here spreading the gospel of God.
They have done evangelism activities for the children, youth and adults at the soccer field, plus preaching house by house given the neediest the good news of Salvation. Currently we need more support, new ideas, more workers to come and help us to reach this mountain for Jesus. We have seen many fruits through the Sunday School. Children coming to Jesus have been so encouraging for us, that we have extended our ministry to the youth and women.
From 2004 to 2010, we have been able to see many families restored, teens quitting addictions, we have seen the poor become rich in God, the weak become strong in God’s strength, and we have seen people trading their pain for the joy of the Lord. The evil had to move back because every day God is taking a new house, a new place, but of course there is still a lot more to be done. Please pray for our community, for our city and for our nation. |

People who have visited us say...
I was very nervous about going on my first trip to Honduras. I had never been out of the country before, and never on a mission trip, so I was more afraid of the 'unknown' than anything else. Thankfully I had a friend who had gone to MDS before, and she assured ... ( read more) Ken Hayeswww.give2givehope.org |
